Lima, Peru, 2000. Gabriela, a young and conventional teacher, has high expectations for her upcoming marriage. But she falls into a deep crisis when she finds about the sudden death of Guido, her fiancé, a young and prominent judge, known for his probity and decisions. A newspaper article regarding the circumstances of his death –at a homosexual orgy– forces her to find the details. She meets Angela, a disillusioned journalist. From Angela’s eyes and voice, as an involuntary narrator, Gabriela steps into the dark world of power and her skepticism is shattered.
