La película se basa en un poema que los cineastas compusieron inspirados en los nombres de 20 ciudades y pueblos del estado de Minas Gerais, en el nordeste de Brasil. Sus imágenes capturan al hombre en su entorno, mostrando los cambiantes ritmos de la vida cotidiana de manera naturalista y ubicando al espectador en un mapa geográfico de la región.
The film is based on a poem the filmmakers composed inspired in the evocative names of 20 cities of the state of Minas Gerais in the northeast of Brazil. Images capture people in their surroundings, their changing rhythms in their daily lives in a natural way, and placing the spectator in a geographic map of the region.
