The XXII edition of the Guadalajara International Film Festival came to an end with the award and closing ceremony. This year we offered 402 screenings and a total of 66,000 spectators (4,000 more than last year’s editions) were part of this Festival. |

"Párpados azules" ("Blue eyelids") by Ernesto Contreras and "Malos hábitos" ("Bad Habits"), by Simón Bross, were awarded the best Ibero-American Feature film and the best Mexican Fiction film prizes, respectively, at the Festival’s XXII edition. The awards were announced on Friday 30 at a press conference. The closing ceremony took place in the evening at the Teatro Diana.

Costa-Gavras received the Silver Mayahuel award at the Guadalajara International Film Festival in recognition to his career. Raúl Padilla, director of the Festival’s Foundation, handed out the prize to the French filmmaker at the Ceremony that took place on Wednesday in Teatro Diana. |
